Catalina Munoz is a Senior Associate Attorney at The Matiasic Firm. Ms. Munoz has dedicated her entire professional career to representing individuals in need. Her practice focuses on public entity liability, premises liability, sexual assault and abuse liability, and general litigation.
Ms. Munoz has helped obtain millions of dollars in settlements on behalf of her clients, including $3.45 million settlement in a childhood sexual abuse case and $32.7 million in publicly disclosed settlements for the In Re Ghost Ship Litigation related to the Ghost Ship warehouse fire in Oakland where 36 individuals lost their lives.
Ms. Munoz obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. While in law school at USC, she received the top grade in Core Competencies for Litigators. She was also honored to serve as a judicial extern for Justice Miguel Marquez of the California Court of Appeal, Sixth Appellate District.
Ms. Munoz has been selected as “Rising Star” by Northern California Super Lawyers for the past six years in a row. She has also been selected to the list of “Ones to Watch” by Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions, Personal Injury Litigation, and Product Liability Litigation.
